In February of 2011, Joe's tournament teams B U-16 and B U-14 traveled to play international friendlies against academy teams from AC Milan, Chievo Verona, and Brescia FC. Awareness to the world's game from the Serie A's perspective was the goal for these young men who came back to the U.S. with a greater appreciation for this game we love! In Milan, Joe and his wife Sally were introduced to World Cup Champion and AC Milan midfielder Gennaro Gattuso in Gattuso's home town in Milan, Italy.
